A bad CrowdStrike update knocks out airports, banks and hospitals worldwide. Mid meltdown, Elon digs the joke back up and reposts it while the world reboots. It goes viral on the blue screen of death.
The joke gets a lawyer
xAI quietly files the MacroHard trademark at the USPTO. Nobody laughs at a trademark filing. That is how you know it stopped being a joke.
“The project is very real”
Elon makes it official: a purely AI software company called Macrohard, a tongue in cheek name but a very real project. A fake Microsoft, run entirely by AI. The joke gets an office.
“Digital Optimus”
Elon reframes the whole thing: “Macrohard or Digital Optimus is a joint xAI-Tesla project.” Grok conducts, Digital Optimus executes, an AI workforce emulating entire companies. The name our token carries goes from joke to job title.
The meme escapes the boardroom
